Holmes County Habitat for Humanity has been very busy in 2016, carrying out its mission of putting God’s love into action, bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
A dedication service on Habitat’s most recently completed home will be held on Thursday, November 17 at 6:00 p.m. This is the second Habitat home to be completed in 2016. The home was built in partnership with Jason & Andrea McElroy and their two children. The service will be held at the home site located at 634 Elm Drive (just off Wooster Road) in Millersburg. The public is invited to attend.
And now that two additional partner families have been served in 2016, Habitat is taking requests for applications for new partner families. The application time period is open through January 15, 2017. To request an application, please call 330-674-HOME (674-4663) and leave a message, providing your name, phone number and address where your application can be mailed. An application package will be mailed within a few days of the request.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry. Habitat works in partnership with people to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to Habitat’s partner families, at no profit and with no interest charged. Partner families invest hundreds of hours of their own labor – sweat equity – into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.
