VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers are a vital part of Habitat for Humanity. They are the backbone of fulfilling Habitat’s mission. Volunteers participate in a variety of areas, some of which are: working in Habitat’s Office, serving on committees, taking pictures, building on-site and much, much more! Volunteers assist us as individuals, as groups, and as sponsors. We appreciate our volunteers who partner with us to help make a difference in our community and in the lives of those around us.

Holmes County Habitat for Humanity is so grateful for our outstanding volunteer support. We appreciate your time, sweat, and energy that has made this past year so successful. We hope you can continue to find time for Habitat throughout the coming year as we continue to provide safe, decent, affordable housing for all.

INDIVIDUALS

Holmes County Habitat offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals like you to invest their time in the community. Together, we revitalize Holmes County neighborhoods and empower those in need of safe and affordable housing. While Habitat is known for the opportunity to build on the construction site, volunteers are continuously needed in our office, committee work, as well in advocacy efforts to create change locally, nationally and around the world.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Groups

On the build site, volunteers work with our construction committee members, and partner families at various phases of construction to build homes throughout Holmes County. In addition to making a valuable contribution towards the home building goals of the affiliate, construction volunteers have fun and engage with Habitat communities through this enriching experience.

Organizations, associations, civic, and social groups may schedule a volunteer day on site as a team, allowing a shared service experience for up to 10 participants. Projects encompass new construction.  Activities range from framing and landscaping to flooring and painting. For more information, please complete the online form below and we will contact you.

Please note that the limited volunteers opportunities on site are in great demand. Teams are asked to designate a lead coordinator who can assemble participants well in advance, collect completed waiver forms and other necessary paperwork, and share logistical information with all participants. It is vital that groups are well organized for all scheduled build dates. Cancellations and changes in the number of participants will limit opportunities for other partners.
